CD Reviews

It is the CD that all dancers been waiting for long.

"Extremely professional sound. Great bass rythm. It is a Bomba Merengue that the instruments sound even better that Mayombe, La makina or Mateos. The exclusive ingredient in this package is that the singers are really singers. Their voices can sound on top of the deep bass guitar rythm. It also has a slight sound of "Mambo" Merengue style. Again, the singers sometimes make you think about the old merengue songs like Wilfrido Vargas with Rubby Perez & Sandy Reyes, Johnny Ventura, Jossie Estevan and Fernandito Villalona."

"This album is pure Bomba. The first track I heard from this album was "Olividala" This song is a remake of a Vallenato (originally from Colombia). I just fell in love with this song because is so well sang and what really helps it is that Hector Acosta(Los Toros band) is an invited artist for this track. I really love this song because the music is great. The mambo is good to dance and the lyrics and voices are perfect. At first I thought this album was going to be a one song wonder, but then I heard the other songs and went out and got it. This album is great. I can really compare it to Los Hermanos Rosarios. This album already surpases Elvis Crespo because you can tell the difference between the merengues and the voices are not obnoxious like Elvis'. You can say Grupo Mania still has an edge over Los Herederos, but if they keep it up, they'll sure to surpass them. Los Herederos are a long way from reaching Los Rosarios but they're worthy of you to buying them. Amerfis Aquino, who arranged most of these tracks, should start doing the same quality of work for his own CD. His work with Los Herederos is much better then his work for his own group "La Banda de Atakke". Los Herederos are BOMBA!! Huh huh..."
