"Another great recording from the same band that did 'Steamers'. This is some of the finest mainstream jazz available on cd. The musicians are all exceptional. The playing is phenomenal. It's wonderful music that will appeal to anyone looking for a first -or a last- JAZZ cd and it swings like you know what.



Danny Moss's finest studio recordings were for the Nagel-Heyer label. Check out the Nif-Nuf(Australian)catalogue for some absolutely marvellous live stuff. They all boast remarkable sound quality and capture his exquisite playing while he was in his prime. Count Basie loved Danny's big burly Texas tenor sound and, on one occasion, told him so. Just listen to the samples here. He was, indeed, a giant among tenor players. Sadly, Danny passed away in May of 2008 from cancer. He will be missed."
