Soundtrack worth to listen to
Joe Bradley | Netherlands | 08/06/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"After I had seen the movie, I considered buying the soundtrack. I saw the track list, and the only song I knew was "Anywhere but here" by K.D. Lang. I thought, why not, maybe the other tracks are as good as well. I took my chance to purchase it. Looking back, I'm glad I did.

The music is well chosen. There are up-tempo songs such as "Walking" performed by Pocket Size and "Twisted Road" by Patty Griffin, and there are slow songs such as "Everything Around Me Is Changing" by Sinead Lohan and "Amity" performed by Carly Simon and Sally Taylor. Furthermore, the "Anywhere But Here Score Suite" written by Danny Elfman is a pleasure for the ear, it makes you calm down and forget everything around you for a while. The soundtrack is a mix of happy, cheerful, fresh songs and sad, sober, serious songs. Hence, there is a song for all kinds of moods.

In short, although there are a few tracks that need to be listened to more often to be loved as much as the others, this soundtrack is worth to be listened to."
I bought this CD only for 1 song.Amity/Carly/Sally's duet

"I bought this CD for the Mother/Daughter Duet,"Amity." By Carly Simon, and Sally Taylor. Its a great song, but the whole CD is fantastic. Even the sales clerk at the record store loved this tape. Every song here is a winner."
