CD Reviews

Island folk!
06/22/2001
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I like this better than Bodden Town (and I liked Bodden Town). This album blends various styles and influences like folk, country, and island music. The best songs are Driftin', Sailing, Blue Skies Blue Eyes. A very good effort, his best solo album since Cross Over."
Driftin' is "The Best Yet"!

"Driftin' is a classic! There is a thread that runs through the album that is reminiscent of some of the greatest albums ever produced. In particular, I was impressed by the power and mood that flows through tracks like Skye Boat Song, and Coconut Tree. I probably own 2000 CD's, and Driftin' is on top of the stack. That is until I hear more music from Dan Peek! Keep it coming!"

"It is nice to see Dan with releases in 1999, 2000 and 2001. I love Dan's sound as a singer\musician and he has always been my favorite artist during and since America. Driftin embodies Dan Peek's spirtual roots with his love of good old fashioned rock'n roll and, of course, his guitar!"
