CD ReviewsA mixed blessing matteo leoncini | New York NY | 05/17/2000 (4 out of 5 stars) "With so few June Anderson recordings available these days, sometimes we must settle for what we can get. The quality of this live recording is not the highest, but in no way inhibits enjoyment of the recording. Until someone releases a full Anderson recording of Lucia (I'm sure there's one locked up somewhere), we can enjoy the magnificent selection included here. Also first rate is her Sonnambula scene. Her rendering of the Traviata scene, however, is tarnished by the squawking of the completely outclassed tenor. Also, her Semiramide aria is better (and uncut) on her live Paris concert recording with Alfredo Kraus."
