Synopsis

Album Description
American Highway Flower released in September 1994, had a harder feel, both musically and lyrically than the band's debut release "Puzzle", reflecting the band's evolution from a studio to a touring band. On this newly remastered re-issue, there are 3 bonus tracks, including the favorite "I'm Feeling Nothing" previously released only on the "Brady Bunch Movie Soundtrack". The track "All American Suicide" has only been released in Japan while "Little Insister" has never been released.

This is Dada's finest hour. As good as Puzzle is, this one tops it, with more exploration & mystery mixed with great hooks, and a slightly more "live band" feel. The guitar tones are incredible. Because of its commercial failure, they spent the rest of their career trying to produce hits. This is the only record they released where they didn't concern themselves with what the people might want. The bonus tracks also feature the excellent "I'm Feeling Nothing". If you're a fan of guitar playing or 60s/70s-influenced rock of the 90s, don't miss this one.

CD Reviews

A good album -- but not as good as Puzzle

(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is good album. Dada are a tight outfit that produce melodic, intelligent, original music. This album does not reach the sublime heights of their previous album, Puzzle , nor are the songs as memorable -- however it is still a very good album...better than most groups could dream of producing."

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is my favorite dada Album(Well they all are)...but this one has a really cool 100% rock sound in all of the songs...the music stile mostly dosn't change...and the liricks extreamly rule...especially the last one Heaven...just makes you think of the person you really love...so it is completelly stupid to give less then 5 stars to this Album...Dada is the best ROCK BAND OF THE 1990S AND NOW!"
