CD ReviewsNot your usual Drum n Bass Michael Straukas | Georgia, | 02/09/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "Dj Zinc is one of my top 5 favorite artist. This album is different and has alot of Zinc's unusual sounds. It was not the Drum and Bass experience I was expecting. light sounds to start with a very cool jazzy feel. Leading into some good ragga and rap vocals. If you like Zinc as much as I do you probably will buy this anyway. Just to let you know you may have to let it grow on you. I had to write something about this so you will know what your getting. Zinc threw you with a New Age sound on this one. He is the inivator and will experiment with who knows what." Like Zinc, Didn't Like Faster J. McQueen | 06/26/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "First.
I think Zinc is a good UK DJ. He is on the True Playaz label (DJ Hype's label), but has also started his own record label Bingo Beats.I appreciate the concept of the album - a album whose beats get faster and faster with each track until you get to the last track and it is (maybe) too fast. But, I didn't like the beats. Sorry. I like heavy, not just fast, beats.I don't even know if anyone will ever read this, but I would suggest you save your $35 and get another album by Zinc (that I know is good, like - BEATS BY DESIGN)There are only 7 tracks on the album, and I am not sure if each one is worth $5.Also, even though I thought the concept was interesting -- I own turntables and could re-create the same effect as the FASTER lp with my own records." |
