CD Reviews

The true leader of trip hop, put you in a trance
Dean Hodgson | 10/21/1998
(5 out of 5 stars)

"dj shadow is a pioneer of trip hop. his music is very complex and very powerfull. It wil make you dance one minute and put you in a trance the next. I recommend any of his records. Look for his side project called uncle."

"First, Shadow is everything you've heard and more--period. Check him out for yourself, either live or any of his recordings. Also, this is just to let anyone who might read the other review that is on this page: U.N.K.L.E. (not Uncle) is the name of several albums that are the brainchild of producer James Lavelle. Shadow did one titled "Psyence Fiction". HOWEVER, there are other U.N.K.L.E. projects that invole Lavelle but are in NO WAY associated with Shadow! Shadow is too good(in my opinion) to have his work confused with anyone else's. Thank you and have a pleasant day."
DJ Shadow, what can I say?
Dean Hodgson | Blackburn, Lancs. England | 05/17/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"DJ Shadow is da bomb thru 'an thru. His music is 100% original and will take you thru every mood you can think of. O.K. I know it sounds like I'm brown-nosin' here but just trust me. Listen to anything he's done and you won't be dissapointed, I promise. PS Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the movie Dark Days? (all music done by Shadow)"
