Synopsis

Album Description
As Pain Language, DJ Muggs and Planet Asia have changed the times yet again, delivering a record ahead of its time, yet classic in sound, feel, execution and attitude. "It's a super highly-aggressive record," DJ Muggs says. "We're saying fuck you, we're not going to follow a format. It's just us putting up a middle finger up to everybody. We're coming from that N.W.A attitude. This is rebellious music."

Muggs in another planet

"pure fire any hip hop fan go get this!! this is hip hop in its purest form!!"
Muggs is brilliant

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Probably the most underrated producer working today, Muggs never fails to deliver noise that is haunting, beautiful, and gritty. He's worked with some of the biggest names in the business -- B Real, GZA, the dudes from Mobb Deep, Kurupt, on and on -- but I'm of the opinion that no MC has ever really done his music justice. Not to say he doesn't get brilliant performances from almost everyone he works with. Pick up anything by the man, seriously."
Evokes the good ol' days of rugged Hip Hop
eternal now | mankato | 01/13/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"From the very first moment of 'Pain Language', I knew I was in for a treat. Evoking feelings in me that have long since been dormant (since the nostalgic days of 'Enter the Wu'), 'Pain Language' feels like it should have been released in the 90s, yet it just came out in 2008! Chalk that up to DJ Muggs and his insane production, I guess. His old school Cypress Hill/old era Wu-Tang Clan style beats are straight out of the 1990s era of Hip Hop, with odd guitar loops, rugged beats and strange vocal samples. The production is mad tight!

As for the vocals, Planet Asia is an amazing MC, and has no problem holding it down over Mugg's production.

This is a true Hip Hop Classic, and highly recommended to all true Hip Hop heads, and those who have felt that recent Hip Hop pales in comparison to the greatness of the 90s."
