Dance Dance Dance ! ! !

"The redheaded woman on this song with him sings alot in German dance clubs and backup vocals, she has a strong voice and really helps this song kick it up several notches. I can't listen to it without moving in my seat. I just feel the ending is a little weak.

This song was Switzerland's 2007 EuroSong contest entry and was expected to do really well. There are several videos of performances and rehearsals along the process, all excellent until the Semi Final performance where they lost out. Just a bad night and it does happen, but is a real shame this song didnt make it into the top 10.

That said, some people think this is the dumbest vampire song ever. I dont tend to listen to songs for the lyrics and I'm sure there are worse ones out there. This is a dance song, not King Lear.

There are no guitar solos although the primary instrument after the voices of the singers is I think the guitar with drums and a little bit of violins at the beginning.

The video part of the CD has the music video and the Making Of.

The music video probably wont be up to US audience standards in costuming/synchronous choreography. There are alot of mohawks going on here and some scenes are reused but I basically liked it. Definately not the DJ Bobo from past videos, here he is a vampire king.

The Making Of video is 14 minutes long and almost entirely in german with german subtitles. I ran it through BabelFish and DJ Bobo seems to be talking about how he wanted Switzerland to have a Swiss artist entry for the Eurovision song contest instead of hiring say Canadians to come up with a song, and the history of Switzerland in the contest. As we drive along to the place of filming we see the director chatting with him, and lots of clips of the set being set up. Makeup being put on. Fake webbing and fog all over and what is up with that horse?

Much as I love this song (2 versions plus 2 instrumental versions) I would have liked to have a few other songs on here for variety.

"To be succinct, this album _ROCKS_!

Like most male listeners, I listen to pop music for the melody more than the lyrics. (It's a fact that males tend to listen to a song's melody; females for the lyrics.) How I gauge music is how it: withstands the test of time (Will it be as enjoyable for me now as it will be years later?); Will its pulsing rhythm net me a speeding ticket on the highway? Can I whistle or hum it? I'm pleased to say that this album meets all three criteria, and more.

DJ Bobo has done well for himself over the years with his pop/dance tunes; I have many of them, but I think he really hit his stride with this one."
