Synopsis

Product Description
Hot off the heels of ''No Security,'' the most legendary, hardcore and influential New York crew is back, with a collection of all new gritty street anthems with the signature sound that fans have come to expect from the L.O.X. D-Block's ''Poobs: Prepare For Glory'' is a rare glimpse inside the intricate inner workings of one of New York's most dynamic cliques, rounded out with features from the same young, hungry and fierce members of the posse that shone through on ''No Security'' (Bully, Don D, Large Amount, AP, Straw, etc) and anchored by core L.O.X. members and platinum artists Jadakiss, Styles P. & Sheek Louch. With the sale of millions of units to their collective credit along with career collaborations with Jay-Z, Diddy, Swizz Beatz, Eve, DMX & many more, the D-Block crew assembles once again to bring that voracious hardcore hip-hop to street corners around the world.

CD Reviews

Another solid D-Block album, 4.5 stars
G$ | B-More, MD | 07/29/2009
(4 out of 5 stars)

"After over a half of a year of push back dates, Poobs finally brings you another D-Block album, just weeks after the D-Block "No Security" album dropped, and this one is just as solid as that one, actually slightly better, and worth a 4.5 star rating. It has 12 of the members on this one, all are on 2 or 3 songs with a few exceptions, Trav (one half of Team Arliss with Straws, who was in jail), is on only 1 song, Ty is on 4, and Styles is on 7, and S.I. isn't on here, and obviously neither is J-Hood, after his falling out with the LOX. Of the 19 songs/freestyles on here, 2 are ok, the other 16 are good, and 1 is almost a classic, and alot are very good songs/freestyles. Production is very well handled and mostly done by Poobs (14 of the 19 songs), with Vinny Idol doing 4 and Mr. Potter doing 1. For fans of D-Block and street music I'd recommend picking this album up.
