Synopsis

Album Description
Welcome to the Playlist series. We've fished through hundreds of tracks to cherry pick the perfect playlists. Not just the hits, but...the life-changing songs. The out-of-print tracks. The fan favorites everyone loves. The songs that make the artists who they are. You'll no doubt enjoy the sound of the beautifully remastered songs on this CD, unlike the compromised sound of an MP3 file.

You might also like the fact that the packages are environmentally-friendly (no plastic, 100% recycled paper). But we think the thing you'll appreciate most about this Playlist is that even though you didn't make it, you might wish you did. This package has been created with the environment in mind. All of the paperboard is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable. Of course, we would prefer that you not throw this package or CD away. We would prefer that you keep it in your collection to enjoy for many years to come! Full liner notes, photos, and more included as a PDF file on this CD. Enjoy!

CD Reviews

Varied and Bright (Sort of Like the Artist Herself)
Gregor von Kallahann | 01/01/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"There are so many Cyndi compilations out there that anyone seeking the most representative will likely have a great deal trouble making the appropriate selection. I'm a fan, but I'm not sure which package I'd recommend to a newbie myself. There are a couple of things that this recent sampler has going for it, though. First off, is the price. That'll be subject to change over time, but likely not by much. Second, the packaging is eco-friendly and that will make a lot of listeners feel good about their purchase. But most importantly, this record really does represent just about the entirety of Cyndi's career to date. The mid-90s collection TWELVE DEADLY CYNS had a lot going for it, BUT it was weighted so heavily towards the first record that almost any listener would be justified in wondering whether she'd actually done anything significant after SHE'S SO UNUSUAL. This collection doesn't include anything from her much neglected HATFUL OF STARS album, and champions of her "comeback" AT LAST album might feel slighted on seeing nothing included from that release. Still there's enough here to satisfy fans AND to pique the curiosity of the uninitiated. That's a lot for a bargain price.

Not just ANOTHER Cyndi Lauper hits album.

"I am a moderate Cyndi Lauper fan, and I have waited a long time for one CD that includes all her hits. I usually turn my nose up at CDs like this one that showcase only some of the hits along with lesser-known material; however I have to say that on this CD: It works. One-hundred-percent, it works.

This CD really showcases the breadth of Cyndi Lauper the artist. I'd recommend this CD to anyone who didn't absolutely hate Cyndi Lauper. And does anyone? Oh, and all the recordings here sound terrific. Only gripe: The version of "She Bop" is not the version form the radio; it's the one from the album. *sigh*"
A Very Nice Compilation of Cyndi's Songs in Green Packaging.

"The quality of this collection is excellent; the packaging is simple and neat.... I'd like to see more of these Playlists..."
