"The ones that made him unique as a songwriter and musician.
There are some glaring omissions like "Gypsy Woman" and
"We're A Winner" which was the motto of his own Curtom label.
But if you only can only afford 1 Curtis Mayfield recording this is the most complete. His years with the Impressions,Donny Hathaway and solo. The patriotism of "This is My Country" juxtaposed against "If There's A Hell Below" which showed curtis
knew Ghetto rap before the term existed. Not his best known but
his most signicant music."
