Fuller keeps on keepin' it real

"This 2005 set on the Savant label finds Fuller backed some true veterans of hard bop. While not "innovative," this album cooks up a tried and true recipe that everyone can enjoy. For a guy in his 70s, Fuller doesn't just continue to perform--he continues to steal the spotlight from younger musicians, too. This is definitely an essential album of his to own.
