"I HAVE READ WHAT THE OTHER REVIEWERS SAID AND I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THEY WOULD NOT INCLUDE ALL OF THE TRACKS FROM THE ORIGINAL ALBUM, THEY OMITTED ONE SONG (WHICH TOOK UP A WHOLE SIDE). THIS WAS ORIGINALLY A DOUBLE RECORD ABLUM, AND FEATURES MOST OF THE GREAT CTI JAZZ ARTISTS (FREDDIE HUBBARD, RON CARTER, HANK CRAWFORD, GEORGE BENSON, ETC.) THAT WERE SIGNED TO THEIR LABEL. FROM A LIVE CONCERT AT THE HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM IN THE EARLY 1970'S. LONG SONGS WITH LOTS OF SOLOS, IT EPITOMIZES WHAT THE CTI SOUND WAS ALL ABOUT. SINCE I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL LP SOMEWHERE I CAN'T COMPLAIN."
Glad I read the reviews first!

"I just pulled out my old 33rpm double record album of California Concert and listened to all 4 sides. I thought: what a great album, I should go online and add it to my CD collection also. But alas, it's not the entire album on CD? It's missing "Leaving West"? Oh well, I'll just pull out my record occassionally and enjoy, it still plays perfectly well in my home.
Don't understand why they didn't put it all on, but that was done in 1990. Probably will never be remastered in it's entirety. So life goes on."
