(5 out of 5 stars)

"Been waiting for years for this to come out on a USA release.

Requested this title from the Wounded Bird label a few years ago.

They specialize in older, hard to find recordings. The company couldn't get the rights to reissue at the time.

Contains the hit song Stone Cold Sober.

This was the band following the death of former Free guitarist Paul Kossoff. He was in Backstreet Crawler after Free. The band hired guitarist Geoff Whitehorn as the guitar player and shortened the name to Crawler. Keyboards were by Rabbit Bundrick, who also joined a late incarnation of Free with Kossoff.

"If you were/are a fan of Free, then this could be up your alley. Paul Kossoff, once he had spit from Free, went on to form Back Street Crawler. They did two good albums; after his sad and untimely death the Back Street Crawler band continued but shortened their name to Crawler and added English guitar player Geoff Whitehorn; who is very different from Kossoff.

This is a very, very good album; with the music just so so good; Stone Cold Sober is a classic song and worth the price of admission alone; but there are some other really good songs on this disc.

Great songs and really fine musicianship!!!"
