CD Reviews

Amazing CD Also Amazing Live

"After having purchased her CD in May, and almost wearing it out I find something different to listen to every time I put it on. She has been labled a Jazz singer and where I do not usually go the Jazz route, she has managed to make her CD so unique that it can barely be labled Jazz, although I would not use Pop or Folk either, but if you could combine all three (like taking all the best of Sarah, Norah and Dido) and making a brand new singer-songwriter you would have Coral. Her songwriting is also particularly unique, very personal but also other worldly, provocative, strong, lilting and simple at the same time. No, come to think of it, she cannot be pigeon-holed.
I also had the privilege of seeing her perform live in Winnipeg, and she does her CD proud if not better, and with only a guitar, bass and drum backup. The tiny venue she played made me feel like I was sitting in the studio with her while she was recording nonstop, it was that crisp and professional."

"Dear Madam, Sir,This is not an actual review but just to let you know that both of Coral Egan's albums have been labeled as "french album" on your site wich is not the case. She does sing a few songs in french but most of the tracks are english. Just thought your customers would like to know. Thank you"

"Listening to Coral Egan's new CD is like reaching the oasis after walking through a red hot desert without water for two days. I can only describe her work as being luminous, genuine and tremendously refreshing. Miss Egan just gave birth to a very impressive and mature album considering her young age. She is definatly setting new standard to the jazz/pop music industry. Coral's album is a must to anyone who knows how to recognize and appreciate a very creative and well crafted album. Her music, her voice, her lyrics all together add up to a perfect "5"."
