CD Reviews

Cool Calm and Embedded Records Doin the Damn Thing

"Babbletron was no doubt a dope release from Pete & Co. but this steps it up to new level. With cool, calm and melodic beat production to accompany Pete's fluid lyrical rythm, you'll want to roll down the windows in the ride for this one. By track three you'll know exactly what I mean. Like the Babbletron release, these cats keep the whole project fresh while changing some beats up as many as three times on a single track. There is no point in trying to point out tracks that are better than others because on this release, there is something for everyone. Progressive, Original, and Dope: pick this one up. Peace."

"This is simply a wonderful cd. Completely agree with the other reviewer. If you haven't heard of Babbletron, do yourself a favor and give them a listen, some other unique hip hop artists to check out that you may not have heard of DarkLeaf and Bigg Jus. Highly Recommend This CD, very different than mainstream hip hop, almost jazzy.

"I purchased this album recently after hearing songs from it on Pandora radio. This is one of the few albums I can actually listen to all the way through without skipping a single song. I've been bumping this constantly since I've gotten it; on my way to work, home, and to parties. The thing I like most about cool calm pete is how you get the feeling he's being very honest with you. Very little if any embellishment and from the sample choices being used you get the feeling the guy has an apprecaition for many different styles of music. A defenite classic."
