Connie Francis had tried on several occasions to make the transition from pop ballads (and therefore the singles market) to the more adult-orientated album market, without much success. Then came the major single success Lipstick On Your Collar, a rock & roll song aimed at the teen market, and in response Connie decided to record a whole album of similarly styled material. Although a small number of tracks were more R&B than R&R, most notably Ain't That A Shame and I Hear You Knockin', the album was well received.
