Scriabin at His Best

"Most pianists shy away from Scriabin - I feel not for technical difficulty but one has to make music from what might seem unmusical. The music seems fragmentary and unworkable often but other than a gifted few -Scriabin has few masters but now I can state in Gordon Fergus-Thompson hands Scriabin has found one who knows how to express all his music from the romantic to the exotic. Great technically ability is not only here but superlative music making that reveals the music's full glory. If you want to hear Scriabin's music - just listen to this album and it will become a great musical experience - there are very few pianists that can accomplish this feat in this music!"
