"if you are looking for a cutesy sugary japanese fairy pop princess, then you are advised to look elsewhere...because Cocco is probably not going to be your cup of tea. these songs have an edge and a bite to them that is sorely lacking in modern contemporary japanese pop music (ever since she retired from the music biz). Cocco goes from a whisper to a scream and her voice is always passionate and thrilling. her band is a really good straight forward rock band with some occasional leanings into some more quieter acoustic moments. i hate to make this comparison, but Cocco *might* be considerted within the same audio territory as Alanis Morrisette. I, personally, am not a fan of Alanis...but i could kinda see the similarities. if you like Sheena Ringo, then you may also like Cocco. although Cocco has a more earthy organic sound than Sheena Ringo. there are no all night dance mixes on this record. there are no shoutouts to fashion designers, either. but there is a whole world of great undiscovered music. i have been a fan of Cocco for many years and this disc is a great place for anybody curious to begin to explore. i'm the first person to review this stellar album and i'll be excited to see anyone else's comments on this great and talented singer."
