Synopsis

Album Description
2007 release of the first full length album by the duo of Pete Martin and Tim Healey. The duo are producers, remixers and DJ's who have been recording and releasing singles as artists since 2003. This set includes the smash hits "Give Me Love" (loosely based on the Giorgio Moroder/Donna Summer single "I Feel Love") and "We Interrupt This Programme", which became popular with all segments of the dance community with it's fierce edit-base as a party tune which helped redefine the house scene in 2005.

CD Reviews

Wow, This is REALLY BAD, Major Disapointment :(

"What a huuuuuuuge disapointment this album turned out to be. This was like the album I've been waiting for. I've been impressed with all of Coburn's productions up 'til this point & figured anything they released was sure to be an album to remember. Well, it is something to remember, remember to always sample albums before you buy. This has got to be one of the worst albums I've heard in a loooooong time. I tried my hardest to like it & even after a couple of plays I couldn't really find anything redeamable about it. There's just no substance to any of the music. You can hear that most songs are just sloppily thrown together loops that play for usually 2-3 minutes & then, on to the next song. There's a problem when you have 19 tracks on an album & it only lasts for 50 minutes. Most tracks on the albums are just minute long interludes that're obviously just trying to kill space. Another problem is the flow, it's kinda premixed in a couple areas, but then not at all in others. The ones that are mixed are completely hideous sounding & completely ruins whatever little vibe you might get out of listening. Then other tracks (or loops rather) just fade out after a couple minutes as they clearly don't go anywhere due to the lack of material.

My biggest gripe about this CD is "We Interupt This Program", I LOVE THIS SONG, & as played out as it may be I figured there was nothing anyone could possibly do to screw it up. WRONG!!! They've cut it down to 2:30 minutes (which is actually more than I can stand of this version anyway) & have added this sloppily thrown together god AWEFUL rap over top. First off the vocal is off key, second it's louder than the actual song, not by much, but enough to notice. This rapper "Solid State" featured on another track as well has one of the most horrendous voices I've ever heard. There's just nothing redeamable about this CD, I really, really really, REALLY wanted to like it, but I don't & can't imagine anyone else enjoying it either.

This was clearly either Coburn, or some scummy record exec trying to cash in on the succes of their other couple previously released tracks. Unless they come out with something mind bendingly good in the future I think Coburn may've seen their 15 minutes. For any other budding producers out there, if you don't have enough material to produce an album, just.. DON'T!! Your fans will respect you more for it in the end. Not to endorse illegal downloading, but it's albums like these that make it feel warranted. I can not recommend this album to anyone, the only worthwhile track is "Give Me Love" (edited down to only 4 minutes) which has already been available for some time now. Use whatever "DL" service you use & get the couple desent tracks that are actually here, but do not waste your money on this album."
