Club 69 is back!!

"This is an amazing album! Even though it is a collection of some of the songs contained on Club 69's two albums, "Adults Only" and "Style", it is still great to have all those in one place. As soon as I heard that this album was coming out, and I saw the tracklisting of 17 songs, I thought that there was no way all the songs could be on one CD. Well, they are. Then I thought that it might be a mixed CD. I like mixes, but I would like an unmixed one instead. Well, it is not mixed! However, all of the songs are edited down from their original longer versions. I am amazed at the quality of the edits. All the good stuff is still in the songs. The songs all sound digitally remastered too. Most of the songs contain a bit of house, disco, tribal, and a touch of electro. All in all, a great album to dance to or work out to. Almost all of the songs contain some sort of vocal, whether it be sung or spoken. Some of the songs with the spoken monologues are quite funny, a bit campy, and just a little sensual. If you can track down the acapellas of some of the monologue tracks like "Diva", "I Look Good", and "Drama", make sure you don't let those get away! They are wonderful.I also suggest picking up Club 69's other three albums "Adults Only", "Style", and "Re-Styled". The first two contain the longer versions of the songs, and are also quite good. Hopefully, they will be reissued. It is quite a feat to locate the original releases of the albums. Also, the singles of "Much Better", "Drama", "Alright", "Diva", "Let Me Be Your Underwear", and "Muscles" are great too. Those feature some more remixes that are just amazing. The "Drama" one contains a 10 minute extended version called Club 69's Full Drama Mix. I love it! The Boris Dlugosch Mix of "Much Better" is also really good on the single too.The cover and the booklet is not too bad either. The covers from "Adults Only" and "Style" are included inside too. The naked guy on the motorcycle isn't too bad looking.I enjoyed every second of this CD and I hope you do too! The "Club 69 Remixes 2004" is also coming soon, look out for it!"
Classic gay house will bring out the diva in you!

"There is absoluetly no substance, no depth, and no soul to this album- furthermore, every track on here is totally superficial, and you know what....I LOVE it!!!

Understandably, this is for a limited audience, the gay clubs and its queeny patrons will only appreciate this. My boyfriend, for example, who is classicly trained on piano and loves jazz would DESPISE this, but for fun people like me who don't care about depth ALL the time, it's good stuff, especially the humorous vocals by Kim Cooper. I have a feeling that she will never make it as a real vocalist, because she dosen't not SING AT ALL in any tracks, it's just her talking basically with dance beats in the background. Her tracks displaying her "prima-donna" sentiments are quite amusing though, especially 'Diva', 'Fantasy', 'I Look Good', 'Let Me Be Your Underwear', and 'Drama'. Listening to this will either bring out the queen in you, or burn a dozen brain cells- either way, it's simple fun.

I do love the production and instrumentals created by Club 69 (AKA Peter Rauhofer) to make this classic gay house music. Perfect for the clubs, he's awesome. House diva Suzanne Palmer is also featured on some tracks, including 'Muscles'. Now SHE is a real vocalist, good singing voice, and has staying power as she will be releasing a full length LP 'Home' this Tuesday 6.21.05!
