"For those new to the Chall'Omusic label or the Buddha Bar compilations, let me inform you that it will be money well spent. Claude Challe is one pioneering Dj on the world music circuit who is always introducing ever new and ever undescribable styles, this man is not afraid to experiment. Main influences come from the middle east... Arabic, Asian, Indian etc, incorporating ambient to dance friendly sounds over two discs. I own most of his compilations. Anal? Maybe! But he has certainly influenced my style of dj'ing and that must count for something. Maybe a little on the exspensive side, around £35 per digi-pack, but I'd rather have one of these than two lesser quality chillout albums. While I am here I would also like to recommend "Arabica" on 'Bar De Lune' label. I don't think it is available yet as I have a promo/sampler but when it is released you better get your hands on it quick."

"When I reviewed Buddha Bar 3, I wished for something with a bit more cutting edge and originality.......... with this latest release Claude has delivered! The whole compilation hangs together beautifully and I found myself just as entranced as with the original Buddha Bar and the great Les Bains Douches (sadly this one seems to be unavailable now.
The whole atmosphere of the disc is bang up to date and despite being of a similar nature style-wise to most of Challe's releases, this one just seems to sound more "now".
Oh, and the recording quality is utterly wonderful- REALLY deep bass and great clarity too.
Great stuff!"
