Synopsis

Album Description
Mix master Claude Challe has done it once again. He has created a very special mix disc in celebration of the release of the most recent chapter in the Emmanuelle Saga on film (In October 2004). Inspired by the film's star, Nastaja Vermeer, Challe has once again created a masterpiece that captures the eroticism and sensuality displayed on the silver screen. Vermeer herself recorded two of the tracks, as she is also a singer and composer. Other highlights in the mix include Louie Vega's reconstruction of the Chakacha's 'Jungle Fever' and Delerium's 'Forgotten Worlds'. The disc comes in deluxe packaging with a 16 page photo spread of Vermeer au natural. Also included is an enhanced section featuring candid shots of Vermeer while on a photo shoot. High Note Records. 2005.

"What an extraordinary surprise (and gift) for the end of 2004 offered by claude Challe !

Having heard and collected most of the releases from this popular Parisian night bird, I very naturally decided to grab his latest release. I am in eXtasy. This is a different release from the previous ones (including the highly recommendable "happiness") because this time we do not have a double cd and because it is much smoother and sensual music. Also, this is sort of a pre launch campaign for the new film "Emmanuelle", interpreted by Natasja Vermeer (also from Holland, like the legendary Sylvia Kritel). Yet, it has everything to please and should delight the growing crowd of listeners of Buddha Bar, San Carlo, Punjabi Lounge, Brazilectro and the like...

As I just said, the music is very smooth and adequate for any "cuerpo a cuerpo" situation, as well as dinner with connaisseurs. Indeed, even if this music is naturally for all audiences because it is truly cosmopolitan, not all listeners will appreciate and enjoy it. It simply is not commercial junk or music for teens. The inside of the cover offers great and suggestive photographs (can't really say more...) and explanations by Claude Challe himself. And yes, this is in the style of all the releases from the Chall'o music label. The only negative point is the singing "talent" (or lack thereof) of Nastasja herself. She probably has other talents, but forget singing. Not even close to Jane Birkin or France Galle (and that is history, anyway). Good thing she only appears on two tracks.

Enough said. Do yourself a favour and let yourself be transported in the multidimensional sensuality this cd will take you to. Bon appetit, and may this never end."

"This music is so beautiful. I was laying in the afternoon sun with my CD on and I could imagine myself on the beach with the wind bringing me music from the resort near by that is busy with beautiful people. Bronzed skin with the hint of pink from the full day. This music, like all of Claude Challe's music, takes me out of middle of america unto a soul adventure that lifts my spirits and soothes my restlessness. Calming, romantic and erotic. I own most of Claude Challe and I am a big fan, none of his Cd's that I have bought have been alike, and I own at least 4 of his. I plan on having all of his CD's, his work is stunning and different, no one comes close. Stop reading and be come an addict like me (laughs).

This Cd and most of his work is awesome at a retail store's also. I have people ask me all the time who I am listening to."
