As a pianist, Assad has received acclaim for her performances of both original compositions and her own arrangements of popular Brazilian songs and jazz standards.

CD Reviews

Beautiful Voice

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Clarice Assad's voice is a pleasure to listen to. Sometimes it evokes a smoky jazz club/muted trumpet - at other moments, her brilliant scatting mimics her deft piano playing. I would have loved to hear a more fleshed out ensemble backing her up - perhaps a horn or two....

Either way, I'm looking forward to hearing Assad's future endeavors."
A lovely production

"Love is the theme of the new audio CD of Clarice Assad. But it is not a mere rethoric, just because the sincere explanations of her necessity to tell us lovely stories through music. She really does it with the lyrics of Naomi Major. "Love, all that it is" is a suitable name for this CD, with singular lyrics and an amazing music. The true is that it is more than an audio CD, it is sincerily a lovely and hapiness production.

JORGE VALENTIM, Brazil."
