Synopsis

Product Description
CLARE BURSON's second full-length album, THIEVES, follows 2003's critically acclaimed The In-Between and 2005's dark, ambient Idaho EP. Clare has sold over 5000 copies of her first album (The In-Between) via touring, key press and incredible outreach to her fans that's without any label, media company or other promotional support. Now that Clare has a great publicist, a booking agent, and a fantastic distribution company - THIEVES will reach much greater heights!

CD Reviews

A revelation

"I had never heard of Clare Burson until my car had to go into the shop for several days, during which time I drove a rental car with satellite ratdio. One night I heard an amazing song called "1000 Miles", and was so struck by it that I immediately wrote down her name and song title. It was a revelation. All three of her CDs are excellent, but I consider "Thieves" the best of them. As far as I'm concerned she is the best new singer/songwriter I've heard in the past ten years. The sound is languid and spacious, with evocative playing, and Ms. Burson's beautiful singing and unorthodox phrasing and harmonies. Her songwriting is intensely melodic and filled with evocative imagery, and characterized by great depth and beauty. For me highlights included the title cut, "Edge of Town", and "1000 Miles". Highly recommended. Clare Burson deserves to find a broad audience for her music. I hope she does."
