The Sensitive Christy Moore
Laszlo Bokor | Veszprem, Hungary | 12/10/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is a very sensitive music from Christy. So Do I, Jack Doyle, Cry Like A Man and Victor Jara songs are slow, emotional compositions. An old noble man, with his two musicans. Three guitarists - Christy Moore, Donal Lunny, Declan Sinnott - in their finest presentation. Fantasic guitar arrangement, acoustic guitar solos, some keyboards, soft percussion and Christy's warm voice. Christy Moore is the Best Irish Contemporary Folk Singer without doubt, in every respect. I recomand with all my heart."
Very Good

"Great to see Christy still putting out new stuff. Some excellent tracks on this one, including "So Do I" and the Arlo Guthrie tribute to "Victor Jara". "How Long" is a powerful anti-war ballad. There's also "Veronica", Christy's tribute to the late Veronica Guerin, whose story was recently made into a movie (starring Cate Blanchett). Could have done without a couple of tracks though, namely "Johnny Don't Go." It and one or two others lack the energy and depth of meaning that the rest of the album has. For the most part though, great lyrics and melodies, and excellent playing as always. Definitely Recommended!"
