A 67-minute digital recording of a summer night at Hardings Beach. The ocean is glassy and calm, small waves gently nudge shells and pebbles at the waters edge, and the moon over Nantucket Sound creates a path of light so clear you could walk on it. Perfect for relaxing, sleeping, meditating, or give it as a gift to your favorite homesick Cape Codder. The Cape Cod Soundscapes Series is drawn from the field recordings of Christopher Seufert and the Mooncusser Films audio archive. Mooncusser Films is an entirely independent film and video production company specializing in documentaries, educational programs, music video, and promotional projects. In addition to projects of their own design, the company has also been lucky enough to work all over the world with a great variety of people, including journalist Walter Cronkite, musician Suzanne Vega, the late illustrator Edward Gorey, actress Julie Harris, and filmmaker Al Maysles.
Probably my favorite

"Hardings Beach by Moonlight is probably my favorite of the Cape Cod Soundscapes series. The waves over pebbles are gentle and calming. I often fall asleep to this one. Or, sometimes, I just have it playing while I'm reading or at the computer, and I imagine warmer, relaxing days on my favorite beach."
Clean, crisp sounds, just ocean wavelets

"Just what I was looking for, although I purchased with trepidation since so many of the Ocean sounds CDs are accompanied by shrieking sea birds. This was just the ocean waves. The surf is low. The sound is excellent, and if you like, you can play at low volume to make it more tranquilizing to listen to or at higher volumes for more energizing sound. A very good CD for all your moods."
