CD Reviews

Wonderful music for the season
Musical Mary | Cincinnati, OH United States | 01/09/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Beautiful songs sung with clarity, interpretive artistry and attention to blend. Some of the more particularly lyrical songs (e.g. Zgodava's Out of Oriental Crystal Skies, and Paulus' Sing Hallelu to name two) are not found in more common choral album Christmas repertoires and are a delight to experience for the first time."

"True to form, the Dale Warland Singers have another monumental album. There are two in the series, Echos Vol. 1 and Echos Vol. 2. Both are outstanding and present a wonderful ensemble sound. Most recordings and choirs have voices that "stick out" and help defeat an ensemble sound. Not the recordings of the Warland Singers. These are some of my own favorite! Being a member of the Fort Smith Chorale, we have performed many of these arrangements and have used the Warland recordings to help guide especially in areas of interpretation of various passages. You have to have this recording and it's companion Echos Vol. 2!!!"
