"Feet First is a refreshing CD of original, well crafted songs that lift the heart. Christina's clear, bell-like voice soars through uplifting melodies woven through with scintillating harmonies, bringing her poetic lyrics and imagery to life. There is a wonderful range of mood, from deep and thoughtful to light-hearted and witty with saucy word-play. These songs are soul-rich and wholesome, yet they carry that mysterious and sensuous aroma of exotic spices... You won't know whether to sing, purr, or just lick you lips!"

""Feet First" is a fun, yet tender combination of playful and serious songs. Listen to the music samples (especially tracks 1 and 2)! I met Christina in person four years ago and have been listening to this album (and to her group "Hot Soup!") ever since. If you are on the East Coast, try to see her perform. These songs stick in my mind and keep me singing all day long. My favorites on this album are Gideon's Dream (instrumental) and Holding Pattern."
Heart and Craft

"I am a performing musician and this has become one of my favorite recordings by a female artist. I purchased it after seeing Christina sing at a musicians' gathering. She has an uncommon radiance in person. When I opened the CD and saw that her mother is Anna Mayo Muir, an American folk-singing treasure, I realized how this young woman grew up singing with the pure, lovely tone that captivated me. Her writing comes from the heart and connects to the heart with outstanding musicianship on delightful display. This album is refreshingly unpretentious; sweet and soothing in places, great fun in others. In a sometimes ugly world of hype and flash, here is something (and someone) beautiful and real."

"Christine Muir is a wonderful musician and performer with a rich voice equally adept at conveying heartfelt emotion and playful delight. I was pleased to find a solo effort to showcase her gifts. I recommend this album to all those who have come to love and appreciate Hot Soup."
