Haunting electric violin

"There are a number of people who play violin. Many of them use electrics, mostly as a poor substitute for an acoustic. Mr Murphy is one of very few who treat it as it's own unique instrument and he is not afraid to experiment with any and all effects, yet his sound is not the harsh electronic whine you would expect.



He brings all of the tools he has assembled together into a single powerful gestalt so overwhelming that I hesitate to play it while driving, for fear of being overwhelmed and loosing track of the road.



For anyone who really wants to see what the electric violin is truly capable of, Mr Murphy is one of a very select few who can not be missed.
