After hearing the amazing "Lullaby" through my 'Elevation 3' compilation from Earthtone records, I had high hopes and was anxious to hear what else Chorus Of Tribes had to offer for I did and still do find "Lullaby" to be an exceptional new age/world song. But now that I actually own 'Myth' in its entirety and have listened to it on numerous occasions, I am wearily defeated and have given up all hope of it growing on me. As I was doing some cleaning the other day, however, I popped 'Myth' into the CD player and found it to be extremely relaxing to listen to while exhausting my energy. For the most part, songs like "Into Morroco" and "Inception" flow hypnotically with sound-waves of peaceful serenity, but on songs like "LoLo" and "Rain Song", the tempo becomes exalt with subtle trance beats and African tribal singing. I absolutely adore "Marakesh", "Myth", and especially "Hiyahiyahey", but compared to "Lullaby", the rest of this album was a sad disappointment. 'Myth' by Chorus Of Tribes wasn't a total waste of money but when it comes to buying new age/world music, I'd much rather recommend 'Boheme' by Deep Forest, whose sound is in a similar but more accomplished style."
