(5 out of 5 stars)

"I had this cd on vinyl. Then, as it was never reissued, I transfered it to cd myself. And when it was reissued as a cd, I bought it. And I still find it indispensable. Freeman is innovative everywhere. He explores a different way with each tune. Every sideman is really contributing something, that is, adding his own. Especially Bobby McFerrin who is certainly doing his most avant-garde jazz work of his entire production. The content ranges from straightforward ballad to experimental electronic boppish stuff. Yet everything is at least good."
