Founded in 1981, a touring/performing band since 1984, Cheer-Accident are a band that has always done its utmost to surprise their audience with constant reinvention, yet always doing so with a sharp focus. Celebrating their 30th anniversary, "No Ifs, Ands Or Dogs" is the group's 18th album. It is an album that crosses many stylistic boundaries, from straightforward pop songs to sound collage to art-rock. The album uses a huge variety of studio techniques and 'outside the box' imagination to put all of these disparate elements together in a compellingly cohesive way. The group has always toured heavily, and the band will continue to play regularly in its Chicago hometown (most recently they appeared opening for Tortoise), as well as twice yearly jaunts to the rest of the USA, and their second large-scale European tour will be happening in this spring.
