The band toured Australia with Oasis, New Zealand with REM and Japan with The Hives. The Checks are currently touring downunder showcasing their debut album 'Hunting Whales' which will be released in September. The Checks won the New Zealand Breakthrough Artist Of The Year at the 2006 New Zealand Music Awards.
