Synopsis

Album Description
Ché Zuro, known as part of Charlie Sexton's solo band, and writing partner-turned band-mate Tisa Adamson, have been performing steadily as a duo since the January 2000 release of Ché's 2nd solo CD "Welcome Home". "Soak" is the 3rd release from indie label Youghiogheny River Records. The long awaited CD was recorded at the quaint cafe Hallenbeck's General Store in North Hollywood, CA, where Ché's monthly indie-artist night has seen such notables as bluesman Jake LaBotz of Chicago, folk singer Brian Joens from Iowa, and Marcy Levy of "Lay Down Sally" fame. "Soak" includes tracks from Ché's first solo endeavor "10,000 Jalama Road," "Welcome Home," as well as some previously unrecorded songs. South Pasadena residents Tisa and Ché have been concentrating on saturating Southern California venues with their Beatlesque harmonies and Zeppelin-esque guitar styles. They are promoting this latest disc all over California as well as in the Midwest where they toured in late summer 2002. Craig Smith recorded the tracks at Hallenbeck's General Store Studio except for track #1 "9-11," which was recorded and mixed at Sonora Recorders in Los Angeles by Richard Barron. Jeff Peters mixed and mastered the CD at Sonora.
