Great alto saxist Mcpherson is not the incarnation of Bird,
but channels Birdian blood into something new.
Glad this finally got reissued.
A must have in the canon of what i would say is not really hard bob but just a continuation of bebop with the ultimate coolness, neither fake emotion, nor dispassionate aloofness."
