(5 out of 5 stars)

"I'm a die-hard Amazon music supporter, but I blinked at the $32 import cost. A quick jog down the street and I found the "Some Friendly" reissue at my local independent record store for $14.99. New - and not a sale price. I suggest you try the same.

Remastering sounds fuller, warmer, and tighter (not LOUDER like some reissues). This is a no-brainer purchase if you love this album - and there's lots to love here.

Disc 1 is the original UK version of the album. I never knew that their smash hit "The Only One I Know" was released on the US version only. Notice the title is by The Charltans (no UK). Reminds me of The Smiths' "Meat is Murder", which excluded the b-side "How Soon is Now?" from the original UK pressing.

Disc 2 includes eight tasty BBC sessions and the three solid singles: "The Only One I Know", "Over Rising", and "Then". I'm disappointed the band excluded the single, "Me. In Time", but it technically is a stand alone track released after the album. I'm spinning Disc 2 way more than Disc 1. "Everything Changed" and "You Can Talk to Me" are as amazing as any track on the album.

If you're new to The Charlatans, there are many excellent reviews written over the years here: Some Friendly. This classic doesn't disappoint."
