CD ReviewsFantastically fantastic! Bruce London | 03/28/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "Caterina has never sounded so jazzy. The pop singer was a well known success back in the 60s-80's in six languages. In that way her popularity equaled international singers like our Connie Francis. But Valente had a really profound jazz instinct and never more so than here, where she swings like Peggy Lee and scats like Ella. The spare trio features a wonderful pianist [who is he?] who plays like errol garner. And the high fidelity sound is superb. Listening to thia is like walking on a rainy night in Rome and stepping down into a snug little bistro under an awning and having a cocktail and being entranced by a lovely chanteuse. Superior!"
