CD Reviews

I keep playing this over and over again ...

"When I am by myself, and my family is far away, I play Cat Power. And the Covers CD is the first one I play. The CD starts out with the BEST rendition of Satisfaction ever (although my wife points out it is missing the chorus and she favors Mick). Naked IF I Want To is a powerful song and has me turning up the volume. Salty Dog and all the rest are just so fine that I have to listen again and again. And Sea of Love is one I drown in. Like this very much."
Is the Extra Track Worth It????

"Yes, the extra track is worth it! Cat Power is an amazing band led by Chan Marshall. Her voice is beautiful and just the vehicle for these songs. Her cover versions of Sea of Love (previosly available on the Japanese import of Moon Pix, and sung accompanied by an autoharp), Satisfaction, Sweedeedee, I Found A Reason, and Wild is the Wind are some of my favorites. But, I have to say that every song is wonderful, just like every Cat Power album! The bonus track is called Love To Be Silly. It is a very cute and silly song. At one point Chan giggles. It makes any Cat Power fan's heart smile! If one is not a Cat Power fan, this album, What Would the Community Think? or Moon Pix would be an excellent first choice. If you like Chan Marshall's style and her voice try another album, it is always worth it. She has a very rare talent that is worth supporting."
