"If film music is meant to compliment the emotions being conveyed on screen, Carl Davis succeeds on all levels. "Hollywood" is a tribute to both the simplicity and depth of silent movies. "The World at War" evokes the horror and brutality of war without glamorizing it as a noble or necessary venture. "Pride and Prejudice" perfectly reflects the time period in which it takes place. Well done."
