Album Description

2008 digitally remastered collection of tracks recorded by Jazz legend Cannonball Adderley along with the Nat Adderley Sextet under the watchful eye of producer/A&R man David Axelrod. As Capitol's leading A&R man, Adderley commanded respect and the right to do things his own way, yet his relationship with Cannon was always more collaborative. It was as if the pair had a sixth sense that allowed them to work hand in hand. The pair would work together up until Cannon's untimely death in 1975, making many great records, yet there is a period of time where Cannonball clicked with Axe's late '60s production style, making records that are now sought after and coveted by collectors of breaks, Space Rock and Psychedelic Soul. 10 tracks.
