CD Reviews

GOOD SOLID EFFORT

"This album is one of Cannibal Corpse's best if not THE best. When I heard that Chris Barnes had left Cannibal Corpse I was worried that they would go downhill. Thankfully, they didn't and this album totally blows your mind. Best songs are "Mummified in Barbed Wire", "Devoured by Vermin", and "Puncture Wound Massacre". It doesn't get much better when you hear the singer screaming "STAB! HACK! SLASH! KILL!" over and over. Cannibal Corpse rules, if you are a death metal fan, buy this."

"My favorite cc album was gallery of suide but after listening this album many times I think this one is the best.Vile and The bleeding are the best albums that Cannibal Corpse has made. This album is very brutal ,heavy and agressive.Every song is perfectly done and the riffs and lyrics are excellent. Many people think that cc is not a very technical band and say that their music has a very low quality but if you hear this cd CAREFULLY you'll find out that those opinions are not true.Vile and The Bleeding offer a very technical death-metal.Devoured by Vermin,Bloodlands and Puncture wound massacre are awesome songs. This music really deserves to be called DEATHMETAL Any deathmetal fan should have this album."
Cannibal Corpse - 'Vile' (Metal Blade)

"The rumors are false, not ALL Cannibal Corpse tunes sound alike.I like this CD better than it's follow-up 'Gallery Of Suicide'(see my review). My only concern is that vocalist George 'Corpsegrinder' Fisher may pass out sometimes due to the way he swirls his head around during the band's gigs.Even though thrash is no longer my favorite genre of music,I can STILL get into a good effort, such as 'Vile'.The tracks that require me to take a moment or two to get myself in the mood to thoroughly enjoy are "Mummified In Barb Wire",the in-your-gut "Disfigured" and "Eaten From The Inside".Aimed toward the younger moshers."
