On arriving back to base after the two-week tour the band learned that their new album, Songdogs, was awarded a prestigious "BRAVOS" recommendation by the French Folk Magazine, Trad Magazine Musiques Traditionelles. The band had no time to celebrate however as they headed out to undertake their first gigs in Spain. It was a homecoming of sorts for the band whose first album, Celanova Square was named after a tiny Galician village in the province of Ourense. They performed at the Festa Celta do Lugnasad near Bretona on August 3rd and followed that up with a wonderful gig in front of nearly 10,000 people at the Zas de Carreira which is one of the oldest festivals in all of Spain. In true trad n? roll fashion the five piece flew off to Belgium without a nights sleep to play the closing night at the splendid Dranouter Folk Festival. A huge crowd witnessed a cracking set from the band whose next outing is at the St.Ives Festival in Cornwall with Cara Dillon.
