"This is undoubtedly a classic! The quintet that cannot be repeated -unfortunately- was at its best, with Mongo and Willie, probably the best combination in latin percussion,at the peak of their form. Any conga/timbales player's GOT TO HAVE this CD...the conga and timbal solos are unsurpassed. It is a "now" sound, recorded in the late fifties! - simply the quintessence of Latin Jazz -with capital letters."
