CD ReviewsThis is a great CD with lots of Mandolin sounds. rix@cyberramp.net | Dallas, Texas | 03/28/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "I just purchased this CD and both my wife and I are enjoying it very much. The songs Azalea Waltz and Pass Me Not are especially appealing as they remind the listener of music associated with the Colonial Age in America; sort of Minuet style, but not chamber music. None of the music is hardcore Bluegrass (no Banjo), but rather a great blend of the four string instruments with heavy emphasize on the Mandolin and soft Fiddle. I highly recommend this CD, especially if you happen to play the Mandolin." Bluegrass Artistry Robert H. Woody | Omaha, NE United States | 03/01/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Having listened to all of the recordings from this artist, I can attest that Butch Baldassari is one of the finest contemporary mandolinists. His famed Nashville Mandolin Ensemble is a showcase for his talents, and he concertizes internationally. This particular recording seems to be in the genre of old-time or bluegrass music, but the careful listener will hear a touch of jazz as well. This CD deserves to be heard by all who enjoy mandolin music."
