Amber Aiken sings, plays piano and writes lyrics and most of the band's fabulous melodies. Jim Beeman writes lyrics and plays rhythm guitar. Rich Gordon writes lyrics & music and plays bass and lead guitar. Rich also manages the band. and is the proprietor of the Big Boy Amplifier Co., where he builds custom tube guitar amps for discriminating clients. In addition to being exotically gorgeous and having an outrageous voice, Amber has a PhD in physics. Who says blondes can't be brainy? Jim is a retired Army officer. Rich (the one who writes all the naughty songs) is an ordained minister. Is that some wacky diversity, or what? The centerpiece of the band is Amber's voice, which is a combination of the sophistication of Diana Krall, the passion of Alanis Morisette, the playfulness of Sheryl Crowe, and the bluesy soulfullness of Joss Stone all rolled into one.
