Delightful italian prog !

(4 out of 5 stars)
"Buon Vecchio Charlie, like many other italian prog bands in the 70's achieved only one full-length album, their eponymous record was really hard to find until now and can be considered as a significant milestone in this genre.
Three tracks (plus two bonus tracks) compose this "typical italian prog album", where the experienced proghead will identify the strong rhythmic combinations (drums/bass), the elaborated and extense guitar/keyboards passages and a some exhuberant "Tullesque" flute arrangements, that can be found in other italian prog bands like PFM, Quella Vecchia Locanda, New Trolls or Osanna.
In general, Buon Vecchio Charlie is a good album that certainly every proghead will enjoy. However, I rate it 4 stars out of 5 since some technical limitations during remastering/re-editon are clearly revealed when listening to tracks 1 and 3."
