Bujo Kevin Jones and his spirited crew retrace musical dream lines from Harlem River Drive jazz and soul through the montunos of Havana all the way back to the ancient pulses of the African Motherland. Jones worked for over 13 years as a percussionist for the Isley Brothers, spent four years touring with Whitney Houston, and has worked with countless noted artists including Charles McPherson and Reggie Workman. Tenth World is all about deep groove, infectious melody, and most of all, spiritual uplift. This West Coast live recording captures the soul and essence of this exciting NYC-based band.
